Michael Thomas just signed a 5 year 100 million dollar contract. 61 million in guaranteed money. that is a staggering amount for a wide receiver. It’s also a concerning amount for a team like the Cleveland Browns. With two top flight receivers plus the inspiration of the NBA players signing for big money it’s only a matter of time before Jarvis and Odell are due there payday. With Baker,Miles,and Ward paydays coming up in future years there is no way we can tie that much into the receiver position. The hope is by the time we are in that situation Baker will have accend to elite status. Plus some good drafting we will not need top flight WRs and Baker can elevate some skill position guys.
